boat rental faq's

We do! Every boat rental excursion is captained by a US Coast Guard certified and licensed captain.  They also have boating experience and are knowledgeable with Newport Harbor and boat cruises in Newport Beach. 

TikiFunBoats boat cruises in Newport Beach is licensed under the "6 Pack Rule" meaning we can take up to six paying passengers (including children) plus the captain. 

Yes. We have all the required safety equipment, i.e., life vests, throwable flotation devices, and first aid kit that is required by law for our boat rentals. We even have children's life vests (you can also bring your own) which is necessary for all children under thirteen years old. Let us know how many children so that we can be sure to accommodate.

No.  We highly recommended you use the restroom before leaving the dock, but you may instruct your captain to plan for a bathroom break if you would like.  

There is a no wake rule in Newport Harbor. Our cruising speed is 4 to 5 miles an hour.

No! We do not go out to the ocean. There is more than enough fun inside the harbor.

You can connect to our bluetooth system with your phone and listen to your own playlist. 

Our captains and crew do work for tips, so gratuity is greatly appreciated.

• Bookings are fully refundable if canceled 48 hours of advanced notice prior to departure.  
• Any cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable.
• We reserve the right to cancel any tour at any time due to inclement weather, wind, safety, mechanical,  or behavioral issues. If your cruise is canceled by our team for any reason other than behavior issues, you can reschedule for a later available date or receive a refund.

Dogs are allowed on board during the boat rental. Please be aware if your dog leaves a mess behind you are subject to applicable cleaning fees
